Hello again!
As of this afternoon, the first of several updates to our servers has been implemented to prevent the outside use of our services.
This update has occurred on our servers, and will not require an update of your copy of Market Samurai to take effect.
With the new measures implemented, the load on our servers has dropped by approximately 50%.
This should result in a significant increase in stability for our servers, which in turn will mean your analysis will be completed faster and with fewer instances of missing data.
Please be aware that this is the first of several updates we have planned for the servers and we’ll keep you up to date on how we progress with the remaining updates.
For the immediate future Market Samurai should be firing on all cylinders.
Cheers,
Alex Green

What did you mean by “outside use of our services”?
Anyway, it’s just something I was wondering about. I’m a happy owner of Market Samurai, and am pleased to see that virtually every time I run it, there’s a new update that makes it better.
Market Samurai has helped me confirm that certain keywords are viable to go for.

Just got the latest update. Rank checker and SEO Competition seem to be working again. Haven’t tried the other features yet and performance seems at least as fast as before the server problems. Thanks for the updates.

I’ve just tried the rank tracker and the progress bar is stuck at 99%. Is this connected?
This is the same problem I’ve had over the past few days

It is still not working correctly though. The SEOC always fails to retrieve all of the fields, even after multiple tries.

It is not working at all since I installed the latest update today. I have sent in a support ticket, so hopefully the problem will get solved a.s.a.p.

Got really excited this morning after the update when I noticed hundreds of backlinks created months ago had finally been indexed.
Then I noticed all the competition had literally MILLIONS of backlinks.
My backlinks had increased by a factor of ten, and it looks like MS is reporting them exponentially the more you start with.
Of course, it is in error. Other tools are reporting my backlinks correctly.
What happened?

Starting MS this morning I was updated to 0.87.31 (paid version).
In Rank Checker, when I click on the arrow for Page Back Links I now see a popup that tells me that MS is now using the Majestic SEO API to access more data.
However, I’m not that impressed with my first results.
Market Samurai’s BL column is showing “30″ for all of the URLs listed which is not correct (I don’t believe). Yesterday, before the update, it showed a different number of backlinks for each URL listed – much lower as well – around 6 backlinks which seems more realistic for this new site.
On top of that, when I do click over to the Majestic SEO page, I get NO data. Nothing is listed for Search Results.
My URL is in the box and I click Explore – and still nothing.
So my question is, where is that “30″ number coming from?? It doesn’t seem realistic – or even accurate as the SEO Majestic site comes back telling me there are no results for the query.
Is the SEO Majestic integration in MS actually working at this point?
