Keyword Research Disruption

Hi Everyone,

Google have just made a major change to the Google Keyword Tool which is preventing Market Samurai from gathering keyword data.

Our development team are currently working on a fix for this issue, however it looks like it will not be complete, tested and released by tonight.

I’m very sorry about the disruption that has been caused to you all over the past week and I will keep you up to date on our progress.

As soon as we have an ETA on the fix I will let you know.

    On my wishlist (I know you have other priorities right now) is making the functions that are just local (project open, click on a different keyword tab, switch from kw research to seo competition etc.) much faster.
    My windows 7 PC is blazing fast and still these “simple” and non-internet related actions take about 30 seconds to complete.

    Hi Edwin,

    Could you please send in a support ticket with a debug log.

    On a PC, you can do this by opening Market Samurai, going to the File menu, then to Settings, then to the tab labelled Debugging and checking the option saying “Log Extended Debugging information”.

    On a Mac, go to the Market Samurai menu, then to Preferences, then into the Debugging tab and enabling “Log Extended Debugging information”.

    Then retry

    It’s vital that you perform your analysis again after enabling debugging, as this is the action that will populate the debugging log with data.

    Then go back to the debugging menu and the option to upload the file will be available. Click this button, wait for the file to be uploaded, and take down the number shown in the dialog box and let me know what the number is.

    I’m having the same problem. Sometimes I get asked for the captcha and sometimes not, but either way I can’t get past “Loading Google Keyword Tool”. I have installed the latest version (0.87.34) and also tried reinstalling MS from scratch but didn’t work.

    My debug log file is #4099. Please keep us updated.

    Your log shows that you don’t have the very latest version 0.87.34.

    If you go to file->settings->updates and click ‘check for updates’ you will be prompted to update.

    Supposedly they’ve fixed it with their latest update (2/28).

    But Rank tracker is all kinds of broken – I have to run it 2 or 3 times to get a result that matches what I can actually see if I check Google manually.

    It sounds like you might be accessing our site, rather than our software. You’ll find the software on your computer, most likely in the start menu if you use Windows, or by using the spotlight search on a Mac.

    Thanks again. I was reading some of the MS “cracked” threads, and there are literally THOUSANDS of people freaking out that MS no longer works. It made me laugh, because it actually works better now that those losers are no longer able to steal bandwidth.

    I installed the trial version of MS, but I cannot work with it.The Keyword Reearch always gives an error message:

    “The Adwords System says that it is temporarily down for maintenance. Please try again later.”

    When I login into the Adwords Keywordtool site everything works well.

    The trial period expires soon and I couldn’t research a single keyword.

    The support team could not help. Anyone here who have an idea?

    Maybe it’s important: I’m located in Germany.

    With the latest update 0.87.35 I had no success.

    Miriam ask me about the timezone and currency. It’s Berlin (Germany) and Euro.

    I watched your video about setting up an Adwords account twice. My account is definately correct and confirmed.

    Am I the only one with this problem???

    Having updated to o.87.35 I still have problems anaylising results. i am trying analyse less 332 keywords yet I have re-analyse and re-analise to try to get all the cells completed and after 7 attempts to analyse it still has data missing from 222 cells.

    This means we cannot really take the analyses until all cells have been loaded and I have been on now for four hours.

    I stopped by because now when updating Rank Tracker and SEO Competition, it seems to bomb out and then close my project all of the sudden.

    Best of luck getting past the attacks and getting the Google changes all sorted out. Hopefully, Google will leave things alone for a while after these changes.

    SEOC – start fetching but no results

    I’m patient because I like working with this tool, MS was fast and comfortable but the latest server attacks and API changes have slowed the program. I expect (and hope) that will be resolved soon as it’s very possible that other programs for keyword reseraching begin to sell new features.
