Rank Tracker Beta Program

**Sorry guys, the Rank Tracker Beta program has now closed! A huge thank you to everyone who participated in the Beta, we received some excellent feedback and made many changes to the software as a result. For everyone else, be sure to check your inboxes over the next few weeks for more information about the full release!

A Quick Recap…

A few weeks ago Google made some changes that had a big impact on the Rank Tracker module in Market Samurai.

In response to this, it’s been necessary for us to create an automated, weekly Rank Tracking service, and rebuild our Rank Tracker module from scratch.

And while it’s taken longer than we first thought, we’re really excited to share that after many late nights of coding (and over 80,000 lines of new code)… IT’S READY :-)

And we couldn’t be happier with the result!

With a new intuitive interface, you can now manage multiple rank tracking campaigns – completely on autopilot.

And because the new Rank Tracking system sources ranking data from reliable third party providers, it’s more stable and faster than ever before.

To join the Rank Tracker beta program, and be one of the first to get access to automated rank tracking, here’s what you need to do…

How To Get Started With The NEW Rank Tracker

To access the new Rank Tracker System, simply click on the link below and log into your Noble Samurai account using your registered email address and password.

You’ll then be able to join the beta program and download a special version of the software.

Click here to log into your account and get the New Version of Rank Tracker

If you can’t remember your password you can reset it here.

Your Free 50 Keyword Plan (Available Until 31st of May 2012)

As our last blog post outlined, our big hope was that we would be able to offer a FREE rank tracking plan for existing owners of both Market Samurai and Article Samurai.

The good news is that we will be able to offer a great FREE plan for all current owners of our products.

Until the 31st of May 2012, ALL existing customers of Market Samurai and Article Samurai will be eligible for a free 50 Keyword plan. The free plan will be reduced to 10 keywords for customers who sign up after the 31st of May 2012.

This means that 92% of our customers will get the benefit of automated rank tracking without spending a cent!

All you need to do is join the beta program here, install the latest version of Market Samurai, and access Rank Tracker by clicking on the Module tab.
*Sorry guys, the Rank Tracker Beta program has now closed! Be sure to check your inboxes over the next few weeks for more information about the full release!

To secure your 50 keyword plan, all you have to do is intall the update when the new Rank Tracker is released, and before May 31st, go to the Rank Tracker module, and your account will then be automatically setup with the introductory 50 Keyword White Belt Plan.

Details Of Our Paid Plans

Our ranking usage data analysis shows that our free 50 keyword plan will be more than adequate for 92% of our customers.

However, if you’re one of those who are in the 8% of users who track more than 50 keywords, then we want to make sure that we look after you too.

To understand how our prices compare, it’s important to assess the competition and see what the cheapest available options are on the market to track more than 50 keywords on a weekly basis:

To ensure that our existing customers get the best deal possible, we’re offering two sets of plans:

  2. Plans for new customers who purchase Market Samurai after May 31st.

Hi Lissie – see above for the link to sign up to our beta-test program.

The software has not yet been released for everyone, but once it’s ready, it will become part of the existing Market Samurai (or Article Samurai) installation.

So basically it would be silly not to pay $5 a month, which is than £4 a month here in the UK, to then be able to expand your keywords for a much cheaper rate as needed in the future :D

Great stuff! Thank you for offering this deal to us, so glad I picked up your software via 30DC years ago.

  3. Hi Eugene,
Could I please ask, will the discounted price be available on upgrades if our requirements grow – for example, say I sign up to the orange belt plan now, but in six months time, I realize I need the blue belt – will this still be available to me at the $25 price or would I have to pay the $50 if I upgrade?
    Thank you

If we are both MS And AS Members, do we get 2 accts of 50 or one 100 Keyword Acct?

    On
    Support replied:

    Hi Kevin,

If you have both MS and AS you will have a single account with 100 keywords – the Rank Tracker account is global, meaning the same data will appear in both MS and AS.

This is pretty cool, I thought MS project was dead. It really cool to see you keep working on it.

Rank Tracker is a huge help for me now. Cheers for that.

  6. I do not see any tabs or instructions on how to export the rankings to a spread sheet?

Hi Tom – we’ll be adding the export feature as soon as possible – be sure to stay updated!

  7. I am really happy to see that you guys have kept at it and not simply let the “Panda” destroy your efforts at providing us the right tools to work with! Keep up the good work!

  8. Fantastic job guys, this product is even better than before! I must say your clear communication and honesty throughout what must have been an ordeal for you guys is commendable.

    Keep up the great work!

This may have been covered before.

But what happens if we want to track one keyword for 3 domains (one campaign)? Does that counts as 3 towards the total quota or just one?

    On
    Support replied:

Hi Besh – the cost to your quota is per keyword, not per domain or URL. Hope this helps!

While I appreciate to see the new cloud feature but I am very annoyed about the manual feature being completely removed.

    * Why have you completely disabled the manual “rank tracking” feature using my own PC’s bandwidth?

    * Why did you not leave the feature as is and give us option to track using cloud (whoever wants to) and also track using our PC’s resources (like after the major update) ?

Since the last major update,I believe MS was using “user’s” PC bandwidth/ip/resource to track and NOT MS’s server or cloud. I just don’t understand why you disabled that feature other than to FORCE us using the cloud only.

    * I track my rankings every day & sometimes few times a day – NOW I cannot do that!

    * I want to track ranking whenever I want (using my own PC’s resources) – NOW I cannot do that either.

    * While weekly cloud report is great, I always need to check ranking s for a few IMPORTANT keywords right away. If I tell my client to wait 1 week for a reply, don’t you think I am ending my business with him/her?

Now Market Samurai is nearly a piece of rock laying on my HDD. I want my questions answered and a solution to this.

    Thank you.

  11. Thanks for having a free version for those people like me who do not have a lot of keywords to track. Rank tracker is my most used part of the Market Samurai.

  12. Hi, Tried using your beta rank tracker. When I tried adding domain, it keeps showing the cancel button. I can’t seem to be able to add the domain.I can’t seem to click on the track button either after adding the keywords. It keeps showing the untrack and delete button instead.

  13. Awesome stuff. Love the cloud solution, very well done all of you samurai’s. Thank you for the solution. Now on the yellow plan, but probably upgrading soon to blue belt. Love the belt system too.

  14. Hi, can you please explain to me what changes in google you are talking about? I really do not belive there where any such changes. And, how on earth did you manage to write 80 000 lines of code in just a few weeks? Asuming a few weeks are 6 weeks, that is more than 1 900 lines of code a day. 7 days a week. 80 lines of code every hour, 24 hours a day. That is impressive, even for an armada of coders. I would really like to meet that project manager.

Why this comic excuse to have your clients that bought a lifetime of updates forced into paying a subscription?

One thing is that you did a bad judgement when you opened that offer of a lifetime of updates. (probably one of the reasons many bought from you. There really are a lot of great alternatives out there.

Can you also explain to me what is so different to your software that forced you into this?

I remember a blog post where you announced that it was to expensive for you to keep updating the software. Could that be the real reason? If so (that is the case) you have an obligation to existing customers which you really just overlook. Very bad business judgement.

To all of you considering buying a plan, this will be expensive if you are doing research for more than a couple of small sites. There are better alternatives with no limitations and better searchengine control.

    NOT IMPRESSED MS!

    Eugene Ware replied:

We’re really sorry you feel that way about the new Rank Tracker System.

We’ve tried hard to be as transparent as possible about what we’re doing and why we’re doing it.

Let me try and respond to the specific points you mentioned:

    Google Changes
    ————–

The changes made by Google which I discussed in a previous post, made it impossible for us to do large numbers of search queries on behalf of our users. As a result, we needed to find a third party data service who could provide us with the data our customers needed.

The only problem with this approach is that this data is expensive, and while we can absorb some of the cost in order to provide a usable free plan, unfortunately we cannot absorb the entire cost of this data indefinitely.

Our aim when building the new system was to try and provide the best possible free plan to our users while ensuring that the system is economically sustainable.

We think we’ve found a good balance between the free and paid plans which caters for over 90% of our users, but we understand that not everyone will agree.

    80,000 Lines of Code
    ——————–
After checking with our dev team we did discover that our claim of 80,000 lines of new code wasn’t completely accurate.
When we asked our Development team how much work they had done over the last few weeks, they checked their GitHub code repository and indicated that there had been over 80,000 changes.

We interpreted this as being 80,000 lines of new code, when in fact that number relates to the total number of changes made to the code base which includes additions, and deletions.

It was not our intent to mislead anyone by using that number, we were simply trying to let people know that all the developers have been putting in very long hours in order to build the new Rank Tracker.

    Other Alternatives
    ——————
You are absolutely correct in pointing out that there are other rank tracking alternatives out there. We made the decision to focus our initial efforts on the small to medium size business owner who needs to track the rankings for a small number of websites.

We think our plans measure up well, but we’d encourage everyone to do their own research and find the system that best meets their needs.

We’re really sorry that you’re unhappy with the current situation.

If you feel that you haven’t received value from Market Samurai, we’d be more than happy to issue you with a refund. Just contact us at support@noblesamurai.com and we’ll do whatever we can do to help.

    Yours Sincerely,

    Eugene

    Guys,

Thanks for getting this out to us.

I was wondering, since the data is going to be refreshed on a weekly basis, is there someway that it can be summarized into a report by Campaign > Keyword so that we don’t have to go into each campaign and get it?

Ignore my question if there is already a way to do that and I missed it.

  16. Hi,

I’m currently beta testing the new rank tracker and so far it looks good.

However, I’ve noticed I can’t export my keywords and rankings anymore.

Is this always going to be the case with the 50 keywords or less plan?
