Over the next two weeks, Market Samurai will begin asking all users to enter their trial-version or full-version registration codes.
This is the “outward visible” part of a two-week project for our development team, where they will progressively be “flicking the switch” on all copies of Market Samurai, and requiring all users to enter their registration details.
The reason for the two-week roll out is so that the support team is better able to assist people who have questions about the registration system.
So at some (random) point in the next two weeks, your copy of Market Samurai will receive a message from our server requesting that you enter your registration details in order to continue using Market Samurai.
So what’s the significance of the registration system?
Well, the registration system allows us to deliver on a series of promises that we have made Market Samurai users…
…Like limiting 40-day trials to 40 days; and allowing us to give users whose 40 day trials have expired access to the Keyword Research tools inside Market Samurai; and allowing paid users to receive exclusive full and permanent access to all features inside Market Samurai.
And obviously it’s good business sense for us too.
With all users requiring a valid registration key to use Market Samurai (whether as a paid or trial user), we grow the number of users who are on our database, we prevent piracy, we provide users with greater incentives to buy (by allowing us to limit some features to paid users, and lock other features when trials expire), the ability to “brand” copies of Market Samurai with partner logos, and we give ourselves the ability to make Market Samurai available for free via other sites.
The registration system has always been “coming soon” – you’ll notice that your download link and registration key use the same codes.
In an ideal world, the registration system would have been released inside the original release of Market Samurai, but instead we decided to put our own personal interests aside and deliver enhanced features and fix bugs before we finished the registration system code at our end.
This is not to say there will be no more enhancements to Market Samurai..
You’ll continue to see enhanced features and bug fixes inside regular Market Samurai updates – as well as some new tools released in the coming weeks.
But the release of the registration system is an important milestone in the development of Market Samurai.

Hi. Don’t we get two licenses with the software when we purchased it? How do we distinguish this if we want to set up market samurai on a different computer? Thanks.

Great question.
Your license key will allow you to install Market Samurai on two computers. It plugs into our system (online) records how many installations you are currently running.

got a new computer. So how or what do I do, does that count
as my second license ? Also when I bought it, back at the end
of the first 30 day challenge, When I got my receipt that was
to have my permanent registration number it had the same one
as the trial one had?

The number of registrations is counted as the number of computers where you have entered your registration key.
If you want to run Market Samurai on both of the computers, that’s OK – your two registrations will allow you to do that..
If you want to run Market Samurai on your new computer only, that’s OK too (that will count as just one registration though).

I have a question – I upgraded from the trial version to the full version but I never got any confirmation email, code, etc. I cant’ tell if I’m running on the full version or not, but I got the payment confirmation through paypal.
I’ve put in a few support tickets but no response.
Please advise – thanks. I’m promoting this product to my readers but I admit I’m having second thoughts because of the lack of support.

I had a look through our support system and I couldn’t find any emails from the email address on your comment in our system.
I also had a look under a Gmail address that we had in our system that belonged to someone with the same name as you and couldn’t find anything.
Is there another email address that your support tickets might have come from?
I had a look for anything from any “Lisa {your last name}” or even “Lisa” and the most recent message I could find was a notification of a successful purchase on the 13th of November.
I assume this is yours?
An email about this was sent on the 13th, minutes after your order was completed. It was sent to your Gmail address and contained a registration code that began with the letters: X-c7
If it hasn’t arrived, let us know.
I’m also eager to find out what happened to the support tickets you submitted.

I did just get the new confirmation email – the reg code ends aQI. Thanks also for the DM via twitter. It’s all good now.

version on Aug 27 and never got any response.

again with no response..
Can you check an see if my registration codes have been lost

I had a look through our system and found your registration details and payment.
I also found the email, support ticket and blog comment that you submitted today – but nothing prior? I searched for your email address, and for your name, but nothing anywhere in our email or support system.
The unique code that appears in your download link (which you emailed to us) is the same code as your registration key. I’m not sure how one turned up but not the other, as all users (trial or paid) receive these details.
I did notice one problem – there was one paid user email list that you were not subscribed to. I have updated this, and you should have an email in your inbox confirming your registration details shortly.

I found out the a lot of results of MS research are giving the same numbers, which I think inaccurate: for # of Searches/SEOT I got a lot of 266/111 or 398/167 or 1088/456, and my OCI is most of the time 51%. Has anybody els got the same problem? What did I do wrong? I tried both the target countries ALL or only one specific country (USA,UK,etc), but got the same result.
OCI and Traffic data come from two different sources.
OCI data has been a bit weird lately, with a lot of data coming back from the data-source as 51%. Market Samurai simply reports what it sees, so this is technically correct, although we’re not sure why the change has occurred.
What seems to be the problem with the searches? Just that multiple keywords show the same score?
This is quite common.
The numbers we receive are round numbers.
So 266 per day equates to 8,000 per month… And 398 per day equates to 12,000 per month… And 1088 per day equates to 33,000 per month…

After receiving Market Samurai verification for the trial membership, I have subsequently received a message when trying to login that I am unable to register with my email and registration key for the trial 40 days. Do I need to re-register? This is affecting my ability to go ahead with the niche blueprint program.

I’m not sure what is happening, but it may be that you are attempting to log into our web-site using the registration key rather than downloading the software – or a digit in your registration key is invalid.

It looks like your computers screen resolution is running at lower than the minimum required 1024 X 768
Adjusting your screen resolution should help.
The support guys will likely respond with instructions (they’re pretty thorough!)
